The amount of contributions written by Mozart was unbelievable and he died only at the age of 35 while Beethoven wrote the greatest symphonies ever. Who do you think is better and more influential?
I think that Mozart is the greatest composer. This is because how much of a genies he was at writing music. He could think of all of the music in his head, and write it all down without corrections. But that doesn't mean that he also wrote the best music. In my opinion he did.
Beethoven is the greatest of all time. He single handedly revolutionized music and moved us to the Romantic era that affects western music to this day. That doesn't mean that Mozart is much behind, Mozart was a true genius and probably would have improved his style to cope with the early Romantic movement had he lived long enough.
Mozart was a master of composition, he was a genius without a doubt. Beethoven a genius in his own right, was a composer even after he became deaf. Beethoven was a student of Mozart at the age of sixteen, and later Haydn. At the time of Mozart's death, Beethoven was away back in Germany. Upon his return to Vienna, a friend of his informed him of his death. He punched him in disbelief but later learned that what he had been told was true. Nor Beethoven, nor Mozart is the greater composer, both with their own styles, signatures. That is my opinion.

The influence of Beethoven is bigger but Mozart is more naturally gifted

Mozart for me. People with bad taste may differ (sarcasm).
