I am glad that you discovered it :) the name Prokofiev scares many people (like me at the beginning) off so that many of his gems remain hidden. But when I first heard his 3rd I was amazed how beautiful his unconventional style was and which new emotions I have never experienced before have been triggered in me. How can a C Major work be so dark and mysterious? How can romanticism be so painful and melancholic (middle theme of 3rd movement)?
